Three blocks of files in the directory http://rupley.com/~guest/EEEHA EEEHA Newsletter eeeha-newsletter-050404.pdf FINAL VERSION (3/24/05) eeeha-newsletter-050322.pdf draft version needs filling in, e.g., April party info. needs vetting, e.g., is Chris ok with being reference person? needs style/grammar/spelling check... EEEHA Bylaws: Text file of the 10/10/89 bylaws, eeeha-bylaws.txt and text file and formatted file with suggested changes. eeeha-bylaws-mod.txt eeeha-bylaws-mod.mm-acrobat.pdf The formatted file eeeha-bylaws-mod-diffmk-mm.pdf has right-margin changebars, indicating the location of suggested changes. Best look at the last file above, in conjunction with a copy of the 1989 bylaws.... or the following diff file. eeeha-bylaws-mod-txt-diff.txt in conjunction with the file eeeha-bylaws-mod-nl.txt which is the file eeeha-bylaws-mod.txt with line numbers added. The diff file shows the changed ("<" starts a line) and original text (">" starts line), with line numbers. The changes are for eeeha-bylaws.txt -> eeeha-bylaws-mod.txt The suggested changes are meant as a basis for discussion. They are not likely to be exhaustive. EEEHA Neighborhood Directory: FINAL VERSION (3/24/05) (.375" margins, 2 board telno changes, claravista -> clara vista in text and on map, proofed again by jar vs old directory and vs dbase diff file, ....) book-sig-centerfold-375i-100r-web.pdf signature page sequence embedded fonts low resolution map book-psnup-375i-100r-p2p-web.pdf normal page sequence fonts not embedded low resolution map pdf files of the current version of the directory: the easier to read are book-psnup-*.pdf. Note that there are two margin sizes. Which is most appealing? Several text files describe changes in the address/telno dbase: the diff file diff-040422-050302.txt compares a [nearly] current version vs the 040422 version (last directory); the file changes-040422-050302.txt gives just the lines of the [nearly] current version that have been changed -- it may be the easier to read. Comment: Tom Bever found an error in the telephone number for what I thought was a correct listing -- one of 11 I had not checked last year. Checking the other 10 showed yet another error. Also, the version of the directory posted at the time of the February 22 board meeting (still present in the directory "050222" below this directory) contained two lines the result of an algorithm error -- the word "dummy" was twice used to separate entries in the by address listing ("dummy" is not intended as social comment, but as an easy-to-see flag for a variable used wrongly). The point is, please proofread the directory -- one imagines there are more mistakes. Especially as the code to produce it was altered to correct the algorithm error. The directory will have to go to press within a week if it is to be sent out before the April picnic.
